Juvéderm® Dermal Fillers
Dr. Monaco uses a variety of JUVÉDERM® dermal fillers and aesthetic products. The JUVÉDERM® line of fillers are very versatile treatments to rejuvenate the face. Among other uses, they can fill lines in the nasolabial folds or enhance the appearance of thinning lips. With just one treatment, a patient will have smooth, natural-looking results that last up to a year. Specific JUVÉDERM® dermal fillers have specialized uses:
- JUVÉDERM® Ultra is a filler that adds hydration and improves skin elasticity, treating fine lines around the mouth and eyes or adding lip volume.
- JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus is similar to JUVÉDERM® Ultra, but it’s thicker, provides more volume, and maintains its shape better. It can be used to treat deeper lines or even restore volume in the backs of hands.
- JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC is used for lip augmentation, adding volume and fullness.
- JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® is mainly used as a lip filler and for treating lines around the mouth, but it can also be used to restore volume to hollow areas under the eyes.
- JUVÉDERM® VOLUX® improves the contour of the jawline and chin.
- JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® is designed for procedures that improve the shape of the mid-face, such as cheek augmentation.
- JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE® restores facial volume and plumpness to smooth deep lines and wrinkles.
JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC and Ultra Plus are smooth gel fillers based on hyaluronic acid, the active ingredient also used in Restylane® fillers. They are manufactured using HYLACROSS™ technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. This line of products is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment.
