XEOMIN®

Unlike Botox® and Dysport®, which have FDA approval for the treatment of facial wrinkles, XEOMIN® is not yet approved for any cosmetic indications.  However, XEOMIN® is approved by the FDA for the treatment of adults with cervical dystonia or blepharospasm.  It blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity, which relieves symptoms of these conditions.

Although its primary use is for treating muscular symptoms, XEOMIN® can be used off-label to treat the same facial lines treated by Botox® and Dysport®, including frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles.
